RAF Avia acquires its first ATR72 freighter in a deal arranged by AELIS Group

AELIS Group is pleased to introduce the Latvian operator RAF Avia as a new client and a new ATR operator.

The Slovakia-based marketing specialist have arranged the sale of an ATR72-200 MSN493 freighter that was previously operated by CanaryFly of Spain for passenger operations until January 2017.

Binter Technic in Las Palmas (Spain) converted the aircraft to full freighter, using the AKKA Console STC: “Structural Tube with Transverse Nets”. The aircraft, which was redelivered to RAF Avia in May, complements a Saab 340 and an Antonov 26 fleet, paving the way to new and exciting perspectives.

AELIS Group arranged this landmark transaction, as follow:

  1. sourced and purchased the aircraft,
  2. adapted it for conversion,
  3. trained the crew and engineers with the support of All4Jets
  4. successfully delivered to its new owner

“This transaction demonstrates that AELIS Group leads the second-hand ATR aircraft market,” says Philippe LIENARD, AELIS Group CEO. He adds: “Our clients find across the large spectrum of our team: expertise, professionalism and dedication to customer services, which turns a project into a reality. We venture the extra mile in each area of business: aircraft transaction, project management and operator training. We break the language barrier, manage any cultural difference and rethink the usage. All that would not be possible without the complete trust and reliability of each of our partners. We would like to thank RAF Avia, CanaryFly, Binter Technics, Akka Conseil and All4Jets for all their  effort in this transaction.”
